CIX supports Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) verified by internationally recognised certifiers, including I-REC (Electricity) certificates issued by the Evident Registry, ensuring transparency, credibility and alignment with global sustainability standards.
As tradeable Energy Attribute Certificate (EACs), a REC represents the attributes of one-megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity produced by renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydropower, biogas, biomass, hydrothermal, geothermal or landfill gas projects. It allows companies to make certified green claims.
We work with the Evident registry and beyond
Broad range of EACs, including I-RECs issued under Evident, China’s Green Electricity Certificates (GECs), Tradable Instrument for Global Renewables (TIGR) and more.
